Green rice fields and palm trees in Bali

In short: Most visitors to Bali in 2026 need three things: a visa on arrival or e-VOA (IDR 500,000, valid 30 days and extendable once), the Bali tourist levy (IDR 150,000 per person, paid on the official Love Bali portal), and the free All Indonesia arrival card, filled in online within three days before you land.

Arriving in Bali is easy once you know the three steps. Do them online before you fly and you'll walk through the airport much faster — which matters after a long flight. Here's exactly where to go for each one.

1. Visa on arrival (e-VOA)

Travellers from most countries can get a visa on arrival. It costs IDR 500,000 per person, children included, and lets you stay 30 days, extendable once for another 30. You can pay at the airport counter, but applying online first (e-VOA) lets you skip that queue.

Apply on the official Indonesian immigration site: evisa.imigrasi.go.id (opens in a new tab). Check whether your nationality qualifies for visa on arrival on the immigration FAQ (opens in a new tab).

  • Choose the visa on arrival (e-VOA) for tourism
  • Upload a photo of your passport's photo page and a recent face photo
  • Pay IDR 500,000 by card
  • You'll receive the e-VOA by email — save it on your phone and keep a printed copy
  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months from arrival

Apply only on evisa.imigrasi.go.id. Agency sites that look official charge extra for the same visa.

2. The Bali tourist levy

Bali charges foreign tourists a one-time levy of IDR 150,000 per person to protect the island's culture and nature. Pay it on the official Love Bali portal: lovebali.baliprov.go.id (opens in a new tab). You'll get a QR voucher by email — keep it on your phone, as it may be checked at the airport or at attractions.

  • Pay with a bank card; cash isn't accepted online
  • One voucher per person, children included
  • Forgot? There are payment counters at Bali airport
  • Not sure if you're exempt? See the Love Bali FAQ (opens in a new tab)

3. The All Indonesia arrival card

Indonesia now uses one free online form for immigration, customs and health: the All Indonesia arrival card. Fill it in on allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id (opens in a new tab) or in the All Indonesia app, within three days before you arrive — earlier submissions aren't accepted. Show the QR code when you land.

  • One form per traveller, including children
  • Have your flight number and where you're staying ready
  • It's free — any site asking you to pay for it isn't official
